Career Path

She choreographed the first film “Kahan Kahan Se Guzar Gaya” in 1981.

In 1985, Farah and Sajid were appeared in film “3D Saamri” as a back dancer in song “Bacha Le Sambha Le Koi To Yahan”.

She also visited in UK with her partner Hemu Sinha for the dance competition and they won the “Friend Duo” awards and also in India “World Dance Championship” in 1986.

She also appeared as a back dancer in song “Feeling Hot Hot Hot” in the film Jalwa in 1987.

As a director she directed the famous movie Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om starring Shah Rukh Khan and she got the Best director award for films.

Farah Khan was born in Mumbai on 9th January 1965 and completed her education from St. Xavier College Mumbai then her interest was developed in dancing.

Khan starts learning dance at her home without any dance training, she was inspired during her college time when he saw the Michael Jackson dance “Thriller” in 1982 and then she started practicing and make dance group to perform effectively in any competition. Then famous dancer Saroj Khan was grab her due to her good dance skills.

In early days her family was faced lots of problem due to her father film was flopped “Aisa Bhi Hota Hai” in 1971 and they lost all the money and her mother was sell her jewelries to fulfill the basic needs of her family.

When she just 11 years old her parents got separated due to lack of money and different religion of her parents, her father was a Muslim and mother was Parsi (Irani).

After the got the success in industry Farha got married with her film editor Shirish Kundar on 9 December 2004.
